  • Pine Crest, a private school in Pompano Beach, Florida, has a section on their school website dedicated to what the lower school classes are learning in each subject. The kinds of information I see publically is grades K-5 explaining the topics they are learning in class. The website explains  Pine Crest's superior pre-kindergarten and kindergarten environment which includes: A safe and secure campus with 24-hour security, access to learning network service, which provide academic support, easy access to state-of-the-art, developmentally appropriate playground, full-time school nurses and a health office, healthy snack and lunch choices in a pre-primary dining hall, special art classes taught in Spanish, computer science lessons. The website also includes workshops for each subject.   • Technology in the classroom provides teachers with more tools to support students. I envision myself using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively by using resources like Pinterest and twitter for my lesson plans. I will also use tools for interactive online quizzes, such as Kahoots or Quizlet to help prepare for big tests coming up. In addition to resources like textbooks and worksheets, technology can equips with various tools to help students develop a better understanding of the material.
  • Using PB Works is very different from all the other websites tools I've ever used. I don't really like the set up because it is not aesthetically pleasing. It is very confusing to figure how to use some of the tools the website has. When I created the account it took a while for me to get the email and I didn't know I had to log in after to verify my account. I could use a wiki with my future K-12 students to allow students to contribute and modify one or more pages of course related materials. I can create a page about lesson plans for the week and I can have students use it to contribute pages to add fun things in the class.

 I just started using  Diigo   for technology class and it was pretty easy to find all the steps to add a  bookmark . I  don't really like the set up of the website cause it looks kind of older and not visually pleasing. There is a lot of words and sentences everywhere and it's a lot of information. I would probably not use this website if I didn't have to. Diigo reminds me of twitter with how the set up is and how it has a blue  background. Even though I have never used this website it was easy to find everything and annotate my articles.  My experience with blogging is that I like the set up and everything is easy to find. I like how I can create bullet points so I can put down all my information. I also like how I can view my friends blog post and can comment on them. Blog Journal 9!!!

 My experiences with EME2040 is that it's amazing and includes super fun activities! What experiences I liked in the classroom is all the fun assignments we do and how we could be creative while also following a rubric. I liked assignments like the web design, newsletter design, and to create a lesson plans. I disliked some of the tools we used like Diigo because it was hard to figure out all the tools and I had to use the YouTube videos given to me to figure the assignment out. When I am a teacher, I will use tools like Weebly to create calendars, announcements, resources, etc.  to help improve the classroom experience.      I just started using Microsoft Word during Summer B of this year. During high school, I liked using Google Docs because I could share it with the people in my group and we could work on it together. Since using Microsoft Word I really like it and I think it is easy to use. They're definitely some features I am not familiar with yet, but I am still getting used to it. I have to say I like using Microsoft Word now just because it is easy, everyone at the university uses it, and there are a lot of cool features.     The Leader Educator Standard is most meaningful for me because I think it is very important for e ducators to seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning.
