Blog Journal #6

  •  I just started using Diigo for technology class and it was pretty easy to find all the steps to add a bookmark. I don't really like the set up of the website cause it looks kind of older and not visually pleasing. There is a lot of words and sentences everywhere and it's a lot of information. I would probably not use this website if I didn't have to. Diigo reminds me of twitter with how the set up is and how it has a blue background. Even though I have never used this website it was easy to find everything and annotate my articles.
  • My experience with blogging is that I like the set up and everything is easy to find. I like how I can create bullet points so I can put down all my information. I also like how I can view my friends blog post and can comment on them. I think the website is visually pleasing because you can add photos and have banners on the side. I don't like how sometimes when I am using a certain font, when I post the blog post it changes the font size and color. What I have learned so far in the blogging process is that I can insert links into words and I never knew I can do that. This process is super easy and really informative!
  • An interesting Web 2.0 tool I will be using in teaching is Pinterest. The main advantage of Pinterest is that teachers can "pin" other Web 2.0 sites to their Pin Boards, such as blogs, twitter, articles, or any other resource sharing tools! Pinterest makes it easy to swap pins and ideas with educators across the globe and to help keep lessons fresh and exciting. To do this, as well as connecting with existing contacts, I can search for educational content and boards, and follow those educators that inspire me and will be a good asset to my classroom.
