Copyright means when you copy someone else's picture, story, song, or other workIt protects the creator's work from unauthorized duplication or use. Copyright is limited by "fair use," which means certain uses of copyrighted material or research may be considered fair. I would deal with these concepts as a teacher by making the students aware of what these things are and how to create citations. When developing my instructional materials for class I will protect my own work by placing a copyright symbol on it or putting my name on it.

Academic dishonesty refers to committing or contributing to dishonest acts by those engaged in teaching, learning, research, and related academic activities. Cyberbullying is the use of cell phones, instant messaging, e-mail, chat rooms or social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to harass, threaten or scare someone. A solution for academic dishonesty I would use in my future classroom is making sure my students aren't working together during quizzes and tests. I will walk around the classroom while students take these tests and make myself visible to them. I will also make sure my students know that I am there to help with any questions they may have so they don't go looking on the internet or other people to do their assignments. A solution for cyberbullying that I will use in my classroom is explaining how harmful it is for students participate in this. I will also make them aware if they are ever involved to let someone know. Cyberbullying harms individuals and I will let my classroom know they should always come to me if someone is cyberbullying them.

The new skills I learned from working on the Newsletter Design assignment is how to create columns on Microsoft Word, how to add icons and photos, and how to shade different areas of the document. I could improve my newsletter in the future by spacing out my column so everything is balanced and to make sure there are no white spaces. I can use the skills I learned from this assignment in my future classroom. Whenever I want to create classroom newsletters for my elementary class I will know to create columns, permission slips, and reminders for the week.
